Description

This is a great way to introduce your students to music reading which is not dependent on finger numbers. Students become familiar with the whole keyboard and topography and build reading skills slowly. New approaches to rhythms and theory correlate with the units. At the end of each unit, several pieces reinforce the current concepts, before moving on. The book can be used independently,  or as a supplement for music reading with other methods.

Adventures theory books are correlated with each unit….progressive concepts and fun!

The authors recommend a supplementary repertoire book with fun songs. We believe that tudents learn better when they use materials from more than one series.

The series continues with  Just Playing 2A, Just Playing 2B, Just Playing III and Just Playing 4. Supplementary books include Doodles, Sketches, Pictures, and Gallery.
