The Young Musician at the Keyboard.

This book offers keyboard (piano) learning, using music reading offered in a slow, easy to understand process.  This work especially well for ages 5-6 because it gives time for the student to assimilate and reinforce “piano lessons”, learning and then using concepts covering the whole keyboard (topography) and zooming in on correlation with those keys with note and rhythmic reading. Our young students enjoy this book because they feel successful. Some teachers use this as a supplementary reading book, but others use it as their main method book. And as always, we recommend repertoire from different composers and fun books. When children learn to read, after they reach a certain level, they reinforce that reading with many different books.
