Description

This book approaches music reading in a new way, because after years of teaching, we found many students who still play by finger numbers and patterns and do not understand music  reading. This is a great supplement to other methods, but can also be used independently.  Rhythm and theory pages help complete the sightreading skills. At the end of each unit,  several pieces reinforce the concepts. As one of the authors, I recommend a fun repertoire book for fun pieces (and songs with words). BUT THIS WORKS!

The series includes Just Playing IA, Just Playing IB, Just Playing 2A, Just Playing 2B, Just Playing III, and Just Playing 4. Supplementary books include Doodles, Sketches, Pictures, and Gallery. Adventures Theory Books are correlated with each level.
